The Nexus 5 is supposed to be fast, really fast. In fact just as fast as the iPhone 5S.
Last week, the Nexus 5 showed up on GFXBench, revealing a Google handset with some pretty impressive specs. In the benchmarking site’s rigorous T-Rex HD Off-Screen test, the rumored Google handset’s graphics processor scored 23.1 fps (frames per second), and after running the current crop of available flagship smartphones through the same hurdles, PhoneArena reports that the Nexus 5 came out on top, tying for first with the iPhone 5s.
Sony’s Xperia Z1 comes in next at 21 fps, following by the LG G2 (21 fps), Samsung’s Galaxy S4 (16 fps), and the HTC One (15 fps). The study noticeably leaves out the recently-announced Galaxy Note 3.
